Features of oriented strand board:
1. High yield rate
Oriented strand board(short in OSB) has higher yield rate compared with other types of wood-based panels. OSB produced from small-diameter logs has high strength and good stability, which improves the utilization rate of wood resources in my country and reduces the pressure of shortage in imported log materials.
2. Environmental friendly
Isocyanate (MDI) replaced phenolic resin-based adhesives, with less sizing and low formaldehyde emission, which maks OSB safer and more environmentally friendly.
3. Superior performance
The physical and mechanical properties of OSB are better than ordinary particle board, and it has the following characteristics:
(1) Anti-deformation, anti-peeling, anti-warping, with the characteristics of uniform strength and stable size;
(2) Anti-corrosion, anti-moth, strong flame retardant ability, can be used in outdoor and high temperature environment;
(3) Good waterproof performance, can be exposed to natural environment and humid conditions for a long time;
(4) It has good machinability and can be cut, drilled and planed in any direction;
(5) It has excellent heat insulation and sound insulation effects, and has good painting performance.
